Thrive monthly market showcases local SE16 traders

Plant & Person's houseplants on sale at last month's Mini Market

Want to pick up something unique while supporting local businesses? Pop down to the monthly mini market outside the Range at Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, where a range of independent traders offer everything from household products to face painting.

Saturday 24th September saw the first of this autumn’s markets. Nine small businesses set up stall, including the SE16-based Plant & Person offering houseplants, Kumbi Kouture’s African-inspired art and local author Maggie Milne

The mini markets will be held monthly outside The Range in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre until the end of the year, open from  9.30am to 7pm  on the following dates:

  • Saturday 22nd October
  • Saturday 26th November
  • Saturday 17th December

If you’re a small business and interested in setting up a stall at a future Mini Market, spaces for October have sold out, but November’s places will be on sale soon, priced at £25 – book early to avoid disappointment. The market welcomes local traders of various kinds, but please note it is unable to host anyone selling food or drinks or anyone needing an electric supply.

The markets are hosted by Thrive, a low-cost work and maker space and business support hub in Surrey Quays Leisure Park founded by charity Tree Shepherd in partnership with British Land. If you’re an entrepreneur or small business owner based in SE16 and want to find out more about how Thrive could support you, pop in to the hub Tuesday-Thursdays, or email Jamie-Lee: [email protected]

We hope to see you there!
