Students take a tour of the development’s design

We recently welcomed 10 design students to our Dock Offices, for a chance to learn about aspects of the architecture and interiors of the Canada Water development.  

The students visited as part of their studies for BA and MA qualifications in Interior and Spatial Design and Illustration at Camberwell College of Arts, part of the University of the Arts London. The visit included a presentation, a talk around the model of the development displayed in the Dock Offices, and a trip to the rooftop of Ontario Point, a neighbouring 27-floor residential building on Surrey Quays Road adjacent to The Founding.  

Sarah La Touche, Director at architects Allies and Morrison, the designer behind Plot A1, talked the students through the development plans as part of our supply chain volunteering programme aimed at helping local people tap into the breadth of talent we have working with us.  

Sarah said: "It was a pleasure to talk with the designers of tomorrow about master planning in urban environments, specifically on the future of Canada Water and how the concepts in the design framework are now being transformed into reality. I hope the experience inspires them in building the neighbourhoods of the future."
