Naming what’s new at Canada Water

We need to name many new streets and public spaces at Canada Water over the next few years, and we’re asking you to help us. In March and April, we’ll be holding workshops and an online survey to generate ideas from the local community

Naming where we live matters. Streets and spaces are an enduring part of the fabric of our everyday lives, and what we call them can help define the character of a place. We want as many local people as possible to get involved. Tell us what the history of Canada Water means to you, what’s great about being here right now, and what kind of place you want this to be in the future.

We’ll use your insights to inspire a set of new names for streets and public spaces (not buildings) that celebrate Canada Water’s past, present and future. Over the next few years we’ll submit the preferred names to Southwark Council for their consideration and final decision.

We’ll be holding a round of Discovery Workshops in March to get your ideas, followed by two Findings Workshops in April, where we’ll share the findings from the first round for information and feedback
