Help shape the plans for a new Park and Pavilion in Canada Water!

We’re bringing forward a new 3.5-acre park within the Canada Water Masterplan, with a mix of gardens, open space, woodland, and an adventure playground. It will also include a new Pavilion building housing a café and public toilets. We’d love to have your input to inform the designs.

The Park is one of the most significant public spaces that will be delivered within the Canada Water Masterplan. It will be connected into the 160+ acres of parks and woodlands in the local area (such as Russia Dock Woodland and Southwark Park) through a series of green pedestrian routes and public spaces that run through the development.

The vision for the new park is for the design to draw on the location’s industrial heritage, linking into the history of the Printworks and the former Quebec Dock through play spaces and by incorporating the Dock edge into new footpaths. It will be a place to play, relax and connect with nature. The plan is to keep existing trees and supplement them with planting that flowers all season and attracts pollinators.

We’ve developed the designs based on the feedback we received earlier in the Summer. Thank you to everyone involved for your input and ideas to help shape the vision for this new space.

We’d now love to hear what you think about the developed designs before they are finalised and before a Reserved Matters planning application is submitted later in the Autumn.
