Come and celebrate the development’s first new homes!

Join us as we celebrate the completion of the first of thousands of homes which are being delivered as part of the Canada Water development.  

We are pleased to invite you to celebrate the completion of 79 new homes at Plot K1 on Roberts Close. This is the first permanent building in the development, marking a milestone for the Canada Water development and spearheading thousands of homes to be delivered over the next decade. All homes within Plot K1 will be owned and managed by Southwark Council, with at least 60 designated as council homes at council rents. The majority of these homes feature two or more bedrooms, and they are also located close to Russia Dock Woodland and Alfred Salter Primary School, making them ideal for family living.

In celebration of this significant milestone, we will be hosting a community open event on Thursday 30th November from 3:30pm to 6:30pm at Plot K1, Roberts Close, SE16 7FR. 

We will be hosting an official ribbon-cutting ceremony with speeches from Cllr Helen Dennis, Cabinet Member for New Homes and Sustainability, and Emma Cariaga, Joint Head of Canada Water & Head of Residential at British Land. There will be live music from local artists, children’s entertainment (face painters, balloon modellers and bubble artists), as well as light refreshments and an opportunity for people to tour and view two of the new homes. 

Members of the Canada Water team will also be on hand, as part of our third pop-up event, to discuss the opportunities being created by the development, including new jobs, learning opportunities, community initiatives; and support for local entrepreneurs and businesses to grow, and to answer any questions you may have.  We’ll be popping up again during Christmas and in the new year, so keep an eye out for where we’ll be next!
