Canada Water Park Topic Session

Former T&T unit in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre (opposite Tesco), SE16 7LL
We are bringing forward the detailed designs for a new 3.5-acre park within the Canada Water Development, which will be located next to the current Printworks site. The park will provide a significant new public space for the local area, so we are seeking input to help inform the detailed design process.
In particular, we are seeking your thoughts on:
- The design of play spaces we will provide for children and young adults
- What we plant and how this looks
- How to create a pavilion/cafe space that feels inclusive and accessible for all.
We will be holding a topic session on Tuesday 19th July, where we would love to hear from you to help inform the design process.
We’re keen to hear about how you currently use local green spaces such as Southwark Park and Russia Dock Woodland, and what you like and don’t like about them. We also want to find out what’s most important to you in terms of things the park could provide – shelter and seating, for example, or the ability to host small events and activities. Your input will then inform the design team’s work to draw up more detailed plans, which we will then consult on again once developed.
