Under The Sea: Half Term Fun at Surrey Quays Shopping Centre

To help local families keep their little ones busy this February half term, Surrey Quays Shopping Centre will be hosting a free Under the Sea event across seven days, where children can have fun while learning about the effect of global warming on our seas through arts and crafts.

Bring your kids along from Monday 13th February to Sunday 19th February to join the free sessions led by Starfish Sally and Tina Turtle. Aspiring explorers will use upcycled materials as well as natural ingredients to create ocean themed animals and bath bombs, all while learning about ways they can become more environmentally friendly. See full timetable below:

  • Monday 13th February: a sea creature mobile out of upcycled materials

  • Tuesday 14th February: a playdoh starfish made from all natural ingredients

  • Wednesday 15th February: a recycled rainbow paper fish

  • Thursday 16th February: a shining, colourful jellyfish made from plastic materials

  • Friday 17th February: a snappy shark with upcycled card and clothes pegs

  • Saturday 18th February: an ocean-friendly bath bomb from all natural ingredients

  • Sunday 19th February: a mini octopus out of a toiler roll holder
