2024 kicked off with a bang, as we welcomed 50 local people to the Dock Offices for our Community Open Event earlier this week.

The event, held on Tuesday 16 January, was a great chance for us to catch up with people who live, work and spend time in the area, ahead of completing the first phase of the Canada Water development this year.

Over three sessions running through the afternoon and evening, we shared an update on the future of the development including what’s currently coming out of the ground and what will be in the coming years, how people can join our engagement sessions to inform the naming strategy for the new names and places being created, and the benefits of the development for the community.

As well as senior representatives from British Land’s Canada Water team, several members of Canada Water Connect were on hand to answer attendees’ questions had and discuss the jobs and training opportunities being created by the development.

We are really grateful for the interest showed in these sessions and for those who took the time to come and speak to us. The presentation materials are available to view here for anyone who was unable to attend.

We look forward to welcoming more people to another session later this year, and if you had any questions for our team in the meantime, contact us via [email protected].
